Whitman shot and killed 13 people and wounded 31 others before he was killed by police fire. July 12, 1976 - California State University at Fullerton A school custodian, Edward C. Allaway, shot and killed seven people and wounded two others in the basement of a library. Nov. 1, 1991 - University of Iowa Gang Lu, a graduate physics student, shot and killed five people and paralyzed another after he did not receive an award for his dissertation. Dec. 14, 1992 - Simon&#39;s Rock College of Bard Wayne Lo shot and killed two people and wounded four others before surrendering to police. Aug. 15, 1996 - San Diego State University A 36-year-old graduate student Frederick Davidson shot and killed three professors while defending his engineering thesis.
