Alumni distinguished professor emeritus Tony Distler reads a statement about one of the victims as community representative Karen Cronin waits. Distler and Cronin took turns reading statements about each of the 32 victims' lives at a University Commemoration on the morning of April 16, 2008, A Day of Remembrance. Members of the university's symphonic wind ensemble are visible in the background, to the right.
